THe Origin Story

So there I was, minding my own business, eating my eggs and tater tots before class, when some guy whose name was Logan, I think, comes up and has the gall to ask if he could sit with me. Ug, fine I guess. I let him borrow my cupcake pencil sharpener earlier during studio and this is what I get. Anyway, after a year and a half of eating breakfast together we realized that we quite enjoyed each others company. So I did the natural thing. I wrote him a song that I then animated and played for him. What was my end game?  I had no idea. But he liked it. And now we own a cat and a house.

I Take a Lichen to YOu

Get ready to go on a musical journey. You're gonna want to go full screen on that.

Lichen You (2016)

I write a song for a guy who I eat breakfast with every day because I guess I like him.

Yours (2019)

We're dating now. But I have to leave for Savannah. And you started work at a cool firm in DC. So how about another song.

I'm Still Lichen You (2021)

We're in love and stuff! And now we're getting married!

GIFTS

We are registered at The Knot, but please feel free to bring any gifts and cards to the wedding! We will have a lovely little table for you.

As a note, I (Zoe) am not changing my last name because my last name is too awesome so if you're writing a check, please make it out to Logan Staley or Zoe Roane-Hopkins.

You Asked for It

Here are some very honest answers to questions you may want to ask. Now you don't have to ask them to our faces! If you have any gripes, too bad.

What do I wear?
Something colorful and fun with a fanciness level of garden party/semi-formal. Nice shorts and button up short sleeved shirts are allowed because it's the middle of summer. We want you all to be a vibrant, bold mob of loveliness and color! Also please, no white dresses. If you're thinking to yourself, "is my outfit off-white enough?" it's probably white, so just wear something else.

Can I RSVP after the deadline?
Nope. If you don't RSVP by the deadline (June 1st @ 11:59 PM EST), we will take that to mean you are not coming. We need to know if you're coming in advance so we can make sure there is enough food, chairs, and oxygen.

Can I just tell you I'm coming 'cause we're friends?
No. Please RSVP by the deadline (June 1st @ 11:59 PM EST) or you won't be coming. If you show up without RSVPing, enjoy sitting on the ground and eating nothing.

If I'm not going, do I still RSVP?
Yes please. It's helpful for us to know if you can't make it. And of course we understand if you are unable to come and still love you anyway!

What is your COVID-19 policy?
We are requiring vaccinations for all wedding attendees. With so many friends and loved ones in one place, we want to take every precaution we can to ensure the safety of those at risk. Many folks will also be staying in large houses and breathing the same air as each other all weekend so we would like that air to as safe to breathe as possible. We also ask for everyone attending to take a COVID the day before your arrival. If you test positive for COVID two weeks before the wedding, we kindly ask that you stay home.

Are we going to be outside or inside?
The ceremony will be outside in the woods and the reception will inside in the event barn. Wear heels at your own risk. The ceremony is a bit of a walk or you can opt for the tractor ride.

Can I smoke on the property or in the houses?
No.

Can I Come Ready to Dance in my Dance Pants?
Yes!
